Mild herbal infusion produced from the Hibiscus Sabdariffa Calyces giving the deep red colour. In Italy, hibiscus tea is known as carcadè or Italian tea and was first introduced from Eritrea, it was used as a substitute for tea when the country was hit by trade sanctions for it's invasion of Abyssinia.
