Marigold Flowers ~ Calendula officinalis
Benefits and uses for Calendula officinalis marigolds include treating conditions, such as rashes, allergies, eczema, and dermatitis; pain, swelling, and redness caused from muscle cramps, muscular injuries or sprains; eye inflammation and itchiness caused by conjunctivitis; and fungal infections, including athlete’s foot, candida, ear infections, and ringworm.
The dried flowers are used in Pot Pourri, they can be added to shampoos to lighten hair and to skin lotions to soothe the skin, and they can also be used to obtain a yellow dye for wool and fabric.
Cup Colour: bright yellow.
Amount of tea per cup: 1 heaped teaspoon.
Brewing time: Use freshly drawn water at boiling point for 5 to 8 minutes.
Due to the nature of this product, it may contain small leaves and sticks.
