Nilgiri Korakundah Black Organic Tea
This orange pekoe tea comes from one of a few organically certified tea gardens in the Nilgiri Hills of southern India. This tea has a rich, high-grown flavour and a unique strong cup character.
From the Korakundah Tea Estate located in the Nilgiri District of India. The Nilgiri hills, so called “The Blue Mountain”, situated in South India is a very popular spot sheltering numerous beautiful tea gardens. The hilly landscape of Nilgiri, unlike Darjeeling and Assam, grows tea plants all year. The tea in Nilgiris is grown at an elevation of 5,000-8,500 feet. The major teas produced on the Nilgiri hills are oolong and black tea. Favourable climate conditions make Nilgiri teas truly unique.
