Lemongrass Organic ~ Cymbopogon citrates
Lemongrass infusion is used extensively throughout Asia and is rapidly becoming a favourite in Europe. A naturally caffeine-free infusion made from the tall, organically grown lemongrass.
Lemongrass tea is widely used in Traditional and Ayurvedic Medicine to help ease a broad range of symptoms because it contains antiseptic compounds.
Lemongrass contains essential oils and micronutrients that support a healthy immune system. Lemongrass essential oil is a common ingredient in many skincare products, drinking lemongrass tea is an excellent way to ingest lemongrass essential oil.
To make a mug of tea add 1-2g of the tea to a teapot or infuser - depending on how strong you like your tea – and pour over enough fresh boiling water as required. Strain into a mug, sweeten with preferred sweetener e.g. honey, and serve. Serve without milk, the tea can also be served chilled like ice tea.
Cup Colour: bright yellow.
Amount of tea per cup: 1 heaped teaspoon.
Brewing time: Use freshly drawn boiling water and steep for 5 minutes.
