Ceylon tea is cultivated and produced in Sri Lanka, Ceylon, Nuwra, Uva, Dimala Tea - an island whose contours are lined with tea bushes, and whose growing regions produce teas of diverse flavour and character. Ceylon tea is one of the most popular varieties of black tea, and a perfect base for iced tea.

What is Ceylon tea?

Ceylon tea is produced in the highlands of Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, and is made from the dried processed leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. It has a slightly different taste from regular black teas, with citrus notes and a full-bodied taste because of the environmental conditions where it’s grown.

Where did Ceylon tea originate from?

Ceylon teas were planted in 1867, in what we now know as Sri Lanka, following a coffee blight which wiped out the coffee plantations on the island. It’s now one of the most popular types of tea and Sri Lanka is the world’s third-largest tea producer.

What does Ceylon tea taste like?

Do you drink Ceylon tea with milk?

Ceylon tea is delicious on its own, but it also pairs beautifully with milk and sugar.

Does Ceylon tea contain caffeine?
